Family Movie Night

Movie Night

Our first Movie Night was a huge success on 9/29. PTA raised $407.69 for our school. We had approximately 177 people at the movies. We collected 241 books for classroom teachers. Wow, that was fantastic! Admission for the event was one (or more) books for donation to the classroom libraries. This was a wonderful family event held in the school's cafeteria. Everyone brought a blanket & pillow to watch the show.

Fall Book Fair

Horizon Elementary held their fall Book Fair Sept. 26 through the 30th. Book Fairs give students and parents a chance to not only pick out books for themselves, but to purchase books that their children's teachers have hand-picked for their classroom libraries. The students really enjoy choosing their own books. We thank the PTA and all the volunteers who helped out this year. The Book Fair was a huge success, and we look forward to the next one!
