Parent & Visitor Information

Visitors

If you are visiting our school, whether to have a teacher conference, to attend a special event or to have lunch with your child, you MUST sign in and wear a pass. All visitors must enter the school through the main office door, and sign in with the new Star System.

New Star System

Beginning Wednesday, July 5, 2006 All Visitors to the building MUST have their Florida drivers license or Florida picture ID in order to enter the building. At that time you will have your picture taken to be printed on a badge. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE BUILDING WITHOUT A PICTURE PASS. Please have your ID ready so that your picture may be taken.

Medication

Broward County School Board Policy does not permit elementary students to transport medication to or from school.

If your child needs to be administered any medication during the school day, an Authorization for Medication form is required. This form must be filled out and signed by you and your child's doctor and returned to the school office before any medication may be administered. Authorization forms are available in the office.

Children may NEVER have medication, prescription or non-prescription, in their desks or backpacks.

Authorizations are good for only twelve (12) months. Medication must be in its original container and be properly labeled. Parents are responsible for bringing to school and picking up from school any authorized medication.

Attendance

If your child will be absent from school, you MUST call the school EACH day your child is out. Call the attendance line at 754-322-6452 and leave a message stating your child's name, date of the absence and your child's teacher. When your child returns to school, you MUST send with them a note to their teacher stating why they were absent. Not all absences are excused. Any questions, please contact the front office.
